Every project starts with a plan, and ends with results.

Turning Enthusiasm into Action

Cermele & Wood LLP is a midsize Westchester County, NY firm serving as a strategic, executive-level advisor for their clients, handling sophisticated matters including real estate and corporate transactions, design, construction and development projects and complex litigation.  They called CMO2Go because the firm leaders were eager to explore new ways to generate business from both new and existing clients, but wanted to ensure that they took a strategic approach. So, our work together began with building a plan.

During our in-person strategic planning session, the lawyers were enthusiastic about coming up with new ideas to grow the firm, so the ideas flowed. They came up with four priorities – starting a cross-marketing initiative, identifying the best networking groups to join, creating short, very targeted client lists of potential new clients and printing marketing materials.

The CMO2go team suggested creating rebranded digital assets, such as a one-sheet and attorney bios, that would be evergreen and easier to update than a standard brochure, and the firm accepted this idea enthusiastically.

The strategy session and our work together afterward went so well that the firm asked us to stay longer to create similar strategic marketing plans for each of their associates.

As a result, the firm not only ended up with a realistic and achievable strategic marketing plan, but each associate now has a roadmap to develop their practices in ways that will benefit themselves and the firm.
