Repositioning a Growing Firm for What’s Next
The client, a law firm based in the Pacific Northwest, came to us as part of a broader initiative to expand beyond their roots. Firm management were concerned that the firm’s message, brand promise and voice didn’t reflect the high level of service that they deliver to every client. They wanted to update the messaging and visual identity, and considered a name change to show the direction of the firm and its planned expansion. They also wanted to be sure that the firm’s digital footprint wasn’t impacted negatively when they updated the website and changed platforms.
Our team discussed priorities and goals, and brainstormed marketing plan ideas with firm management. We started with a strategy session to understand the firm’s business, professional journey, and any key milestones and challenges. Then, we proceeded with competitive analyses of the firm’s current market and an expansion market, allowing us to determine potential messaging, brand positioning and visual design options. Our comprehensive brand recommendations included ideal client profiles and psychographics, messaging for the firm and each area of practice, and definitions of their brand voice and visual identity. We also provided website UX/UI recommendations and language for the new site.
Armed with the data, content and visuals CMO2go supplied, the firm was now in a position to proceed with its new website.
