We Need a Plan

Hollis Laidlaw & Simon LLP is a midsize Westchester County, NY firm whose practice areas include litigation and dispute resolution, trusts and estates, elder law, corporate, employment, real estate, land use and zoning. They had new leadership, were about to change their name, and needed a strategic way to plan this transition. However, they didn’t have a veteran legal marketer on staff to build the plan necessary to guide them through this pivotal change and assure their clients that the white glove service they were accustomed to would continue.

First, we proposed a marketing strategy meeting to determine the best way to take advantage of the opportunity and build a new plan. At the end of the meeting, the firm decided that their priority was rebranding the firm to reflect this leadership change with new messaging, a new logo and marketing collateral.

Next, the CMO2go team oversaw the firm’s website build and rebranding, including creating a new logo, design and content. The team also created communications to walk clients through the changes, including messaging to offer a reassuring sense of continuity while emphasizing the strengths the new leaders would bring to the firm.

We shared the news through print, email, an advertising campaign and letters to all clients. For the finale, we threw a party where the firm could celebrate the name change with clients and friends.

As a result, the firm’s clients were reassured that the white glove services they had always received would continue, and felt confident in the firm’s new leadership.
